Our Mission

Quality clinical care in a professional,

friendly and comfortable setting.

Why Alamitos Eye Care?

Alamitos Eye Care provides comprehensive care of the eye. It’s not just about getting the right prescription for your eyeglasses or contact lenses, which of course is an important part of good eye care. Seeing clearly is just one part of your of your overall eye health. It’s important to have regular comprehensive eye health exams whether or not you wear eye glasses or contacts, even if your vision is sharp.

Dr. Patel’s comprehensive exams take 45 minutes to ensure that every patient receives the highest level of professional care. Alamitos Eye Care is not a “big box store” experience and we do not double book appointments. Sometimes an eye emergency could take precedence and know that is how you would want to be treated should the need arise.

Dr. Patel believes in looking at the “big picture” when it comes to your eye health, and she takes the time to get to know you, your eye care history and your vision needs. She knows that getting the right prescription involves balancing several factors, including clear eyesight, visual efficiency and your ability to process visual information seamlessly.

Many diseases that may ultimately affect vision don’t have warning signs. A well-thought-out comprehensive eye exam can help screen for systemic eye diseases that could be indicative of diabetes, neurological problems and heart disease.  And did you know that from young children through aging adults, we need to check for “computer vision syndrome?”

Whether you need a routine eye examination, an eyeglasses fitting, treatment for an eye disease (such as glaucoma or macular degeneration) or eye surgery (such as LASIK or cataract surgery) Dr. Patel will provide you with the best care, advice, options and follow up, including a great network of specialized ophthalmologists for referrals, as needed, in both Orange and Los Angeles counties.
